Day 4 of our Summer 2024 Food Drive

Yesterday was a special day as we welcomed five new members to our Youth Volunteer team! 🎉 We held a training session where we shared experiences, discussed the reasons behind our food and snack drives, and highlighted the challenges that food banks face. Most importantly, we passed on our mission and responsibilities, inspiring them to find their own purpose in volunteering. 💪❤️

Today was even more thrilling! Our amazing team set a new record! 🚀 In just 12 hours, eight high school volunteers, split into two groups, and distributed nearly 900 beautiful food drive flyers across four new areas in Mississauga! 📄✨ By 9 PM, we had completed our mission! We are so proud of everyone's hard work! 🙌

Together, we are making a difference in our community, raising awareness about food insecurity, and connecting residents with those in need. Every flyer we hand out and every conversation we have is planting seeds of hope. 🌱💙

As the next school year approaches, our team is more motivated than ever to make the most of our time and provide as much support as possible for food banks! Let’s keep pushing forward! 💖
