✨ Fill the Plates for Summer Break - Day 3 ✨

We’re thrilled to share that our second round of food collection in our neighbourhood exceeded all expectations! 🎉 Our redesigned flyer made a huge impact in donation volume and type by highlighting the importance of school snacks and baby food—items that are often overlooked but are crucial for children's growth and mental health.

While many students go to school with full stomachs and enjoy snack time at school, there are many more who relying on food banks and go school hungry, not to mention having snacks to eat during the day.

It's truly heartbreaking to think that nearly 750 children in our community face this harsh reality. 😢 Knowing that these children have no snacks and breakfast, fuels our determination to take action and support them in any way we can.

Thanks to our amazing neighbors who read our flyer, we received an overwhelming amount of school snacks and baby food during this round! 🥳 Each time we picked up the heavy bags filled with generous donations from front porches, our hearts were filled with warmth and gratitude for such kindness but also a sense of overwhelming pride that we have all come together for this common cause. ❤️

While all the donations will go to The Compass Food Bank, the inspiration, hope, solidarity and pride we've gained from this drive will stay with us forever. It reminds us of the beauty of human connection and compassion!
